TGW expands headquarters: Commitment to the location

TGW expands headquarters: Commitment to the location

MARKET TRENCH. It took a good five years until the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which cost around 100 million euros. The official procedures have been completed and an agreement has been reached with the residents. Now it’s the turn of the excavators.

A new production hall, a highly automated warehouse system and a parking garage will be built by summer 2026. Around 300 employees who currently work scattered across rented space will then find space in the headquarters. “This investment is a commitment to the location in Upper Austria,” says Managing Director Henry Puhl. These additional 25,000 square meters of expansion will cost up to 100 million euros. “Intralogistics is a future industry with enormous potential. With the expansion, we are laying the foundation for being able to exploit this potential in the coming years.” The challenges are great and times are difficult, but “a crisis comes before an upturn,” says Puhl confidently. Shuttle robots, storage and retrieval machines and pallet conveyor technology, among other things, will be manufactured in the new areas and exported all over the world.

“Worth its weight in gold”

Governor Thomas Stelzer (VP) is naturally pleased about the investment: “We are an industrial location. Times are challenging. That is why an investment like the one TGW is making is worth its weight in gold. And that is an understatement.” Don’t wait, but take action is his motto. At the same time, he sees the challenge of shortening the process for projects and thus making investments and projects easier.

SP Mayor Paul Mahr congratulated on the “really good choice of location. It was a challenging and persistent process. But we managed it, also thanks to the good cooperation of everyone involved in the project.”
