Armed robbery leads to police-involved shootout on N. Redway Road.

BOISE, Idaho – Boise Police reported an officer-involved shooting on N. Redway Road overnight.

Last night around 9:30 p.m., Boise Police responded to a reported armed robbery with a firearm at a business on W. Fairview near N. McKinney St.

Officers responding to the call identified a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle north of Fairview on Cole Road. Officers attempted to make a traffic stop and the vehicle stopped briefly before fleeing south on Cole Road.

The suspect’s vehicle was again located near Cole Road and Ustick, and officers saw the suspect attempt to jump over a fence into the backyard of a home on N. Redway Road.

Nearby residents were notified and a perimeter was set up around the backyard. While authorities attempted to contact and arrest the suspect, two officers shot the suspect.

The suspect was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

No officers were injured and the Ada County Critical Incident Task Force is investigating the shooting.
