DAVV: DAVV sends question papers for professional examinations online | News from Indore

Indore: In an effort to Paper leaks and streamline the examination process, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) will introduce an online questionnaire submission system for the upcoming Bachelor’s postgraduate examination, which is scheduled to begin on October 20.
The pilot project, which will initially cover examination centers in urban areas, is a direct response to recent incidents of paper leakage. Questionnaires By transmitting the examination documents directly to the examination centers via a specially developed software system, the DAVV wants to increase security, reduce logistical effort and save time.
“We have received the approval of the Vice Chancellor and EC members and will start sending the exam papers for the supplementary examinations online next month. If this is successful, we plan to extend this system to the main examinations for professional courses as well,” said DAVV Examination Director Dr Ashesh Tiwari.
The implemented software facilitates the secure transmission of the examination papers. The university sends the examination papers half an hour before the start of the examination. The universities, which also act as examination centers, receive two passwords to securely access the examination papers and print the required number of copies.
The system will be limited to urban examination centres for now as logistical challenges in cities and rural centres require a continuation of traditional methods. “We are focusing on urban areas in the first phase as it will be difficult to introduce this system in rural areas immediately,” said Dr Tiwari.
The re-examination forms are currently being submitted and the university expects over 5,000 students from various undergraduate courses to appear for the examination.
In May, the university came under scrutiny because an exam paper for the first semester of the MBA program was allegedly leaked. A similar leak was also reported last year.
Traditionally, the university would hand over bundles of exam questions in sealed envelopes to the examination center representatives a week before the exams. These envelopes were then to be kept at the nearest police station. However, there were repeated inconsistencies with this procedure.
