Sometimes cost-cutting measures in a company can also have pleasant side effects for the end customer, as a new announcement from the Xbox division now shows. Up until now, there has been a separate development for the Xbox Game Pass on the mobile platforms in addition to the classic Xbox app. This will now come to an end in November.

Microsoft is announcing the Xbox September Update accordingly. The functions that were previously available in the mobile Xbox Game Pass app will be migrated to the regular Xbox app, which will then be bundled in one central location. In return, Microsoft will discontinue the separate app for the Xbox Game Pass and will no longer offer it for download from November.

The migration of the functions is currently reaching the Xbox Beta app first, and the changes will appear in the regular version shortly.
