According to Phoenix police, a suspect shot a man through the window of his home.

“After 15 to 20 minutes I hear the police helicopter and then I hear things going on outside so I go outside and there are police officers running around everywhere,” Smith said.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital but is now recovering at home. According to police, there is no evidence that he knows the person who shot him. Neighbors say the shooting happened too close to the home, raising major concerns about their safety.

Anonymous Neighbor 5 “It is very unsettling to feel like I have to move out of my childhood home to ensure the safety of my children.”

“I would like to stay in this area, so I hope it’s a one-time thing,” Smith said.
