Manu Bhaker says “nothing” has changed in her life after winning two medals at the Paris Olympics

New Delhi [India]September 27 (ANI): Top Indian shooter Manu Bhaker said that “nothing” has changed in her life after her two bronze medals at the recently concluded Paris Olympics.

Bhaker, who achieved remarkable achievements at a young age, created history when she became the first Indian woman to win two medals at the same Olympics.

The 22-year-old took to her official social media account and told her fans that “nothing” had changed in her life after winning two medals at this year’s major event.

“For everyone who asks me what changed in my life after I won the medals: NOTHING. I am the same Manu Bhaker and enjoying my break. I will return to the ranges in November and start training again. Thank you for your feedback. “Love and attention, Manu,” Bhaker wrote on X.

Earlier Thursday, the shooter opened up about her shooting career and said she never thought she would get this far.

Talking about X, Bhaker remembered the time when she started her journey at the age of 14. She added that every small step forward brings one closer to greatness.

Finally, the 22-year-old said that her “dream” of winning Olympic gold medals continues.

“I was 14 when I started my shooting career. I never thought I would get this far. When you start something, make sure you do everything you can to pursue your dreams relentlessly, no matter how difficult it gets. Bhaker and her partner Sarabjot Singh secured bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

The duo of Manu and Sarabjot defeated South Korea’s Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin 16-10 in the bronze medal play-off game. Both Manu and Sarabjot scored regular 10s in the series against the South Koreans and picked up India’s second medal.

Manu Bhaker opened India’s medal tally at the Olympics after she secured third place in the women’s 10m air pistol individual event, becoming the first ever shooter to win an Olympic medal for India. Sarabjot Singh and Bhaker then won the bronze medal in the 10m air pistol (mixed team) event, which was India’s first ever team medal in shooting.

In her last competition, she narrowly missed out on the historic Grand Triple, finishing fourth in the women’s 25-meter pistol shooting. She missed the chance to become the first Indian woman to win three medals at the Olympics. (ANI)
