Watch Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb freak out Dak Prescott in an ugly supporting performance

The Dallas Cowboys are eliminated at home for the third time in a row and the fans have reached their breaking point. They’ve given up 28 points (and counting) and Mike McCarthy’s offense looks as dull as ever.

The Baltimore Ravens defense was a hub early in the season and yet Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb couldn’t work their magic.

Lamb caught all three of his targets for 58 yards in the first half. No numbers, but his three goals are third on the team behind Brandin Cooks and Jake Ferguson. Even running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Rico Dowdle each scored two goals.

On the game’s first possession, Prescott didn’t look Lamb’s way at all. It’s no secret that Lamb has remained quiet and the offense is stuck in neutral. No one on the sideline is happy, but Lamb let his frustration get the best of him after the offense’s final drive of the first half when he blasted Prescott. Lamb also became audibly frustrated during a conversation with Cowboys wide receivers coach Robert Prince Jr.

We admire Lamb’s fighting spirit, but this was a terrible sight for the All-Pro. The Ravens aren’t bothered by the Cowboys’ other receivers and cover Lamb in coverage. With Lamb having minimal scope and the running game not being a factor, Prescott has been throwing in tight windows the entire game.

We won’t know until the All-22 is released to know if Prescott doesn’t see the field. Maybe Lamb is open? Ultimately, it’s up to Mike McCarthy to give his superstar even more attention. Again, the offense does not use pre-snap motion. McCarthy makes it easy for the Ravens defense.

Tempers can flare during a poor performance, but Lamb freaking out against Prescott is baffling after his error in the red zone marked the turning point. Lamb caught a screen pass in the red zone that would have given the Cowboys a 1st-and-goal. They were down 14-3 at this point, so the game was very even.

Again, Lamb’s frustration is understandable. He and Prescott won’t allow the disagreement to fester, but it gives reporters and speakers the authority to question the team’s toughness. It adds another layer of embarrassment to yet another pathetic performance at home.
