Wear OS 5 for the Pixel Watch: Google stops rollout on smartwatches – update causes problems

Google has stopped the rollout of Wear OS 5 on the Pixel Watches. Since installing the operating system version on the first and second generation smartwatches is already causing problems, the developers are now pulling the emergency brake and have stopped the distribution of the new Wear OS. Users affected by problems probably cannot avoid a factory reset with possible data loss.

Google has confirmed the problem to US media and announced that it would be looking into it and holding off the rollout of Wear OS 5 until it was resolved. Anyone who has already received the update can be happy and should not have any further problems. However, if you have delayed the update or have not yet been offered it, it may take a few days or weeks until the download is released again.
