RedMagic: Gaming tablet launches in Germany, with a partially transparent housing and high performance

Nubia is bringing a new tablet under the Nubia brand to Europe and Germany. This is not an unknown system; in fact, the tablet has already been presented in China and is already available for import. RedMagic is extending the release and pre-orders, which are supposed to start on October 16th. While the final release date is still unclear, the price has already been set: the tablet will be offered for a price of 499 euros.

The specifications are already known and are also shown by Nubia on the German product page. The tablet will be offered in two model versions, namely with a 12 and a 16 gigabyte RAM and a 256 and 512 gigabyte internal memory – the two model variants will then come onto the market at significantly different prices. LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage are used.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Leading Edition is installed, which is supposed to clock slightly higher and thus promises even higher performance. Not only is a copper foil used for cooling, but instead a heat pipe is used to transfer heat – which is even visible through the partially transparent housing. A small fan is used that rotates at 20,000 revolutions per minute. The 10.9-inch screen offers a resolution of 2,880 x 1,880 pixels and a refresh rate of 144 Hz; the brightness is rated at 550 cd/m².

A front camera with 50 megapixels is installed, the front camera has 20 megapixels. The RedMagic OS 9.5 used is based on Android 14, the 10,100 mAh battery can be charged with up to 80 watts. Four microphones are installed and DTS:X Ultra is supported. There are three microphones.
