Hublot is launching a new Big Bang Tourbillon: Why this is a very special model

Hublot is launching a new model that is intended to protect species.

This is not the first time that Hublot has collaborated with the SORAI organization. Together, the watch manufacturer and the animal welfare organization “Save Our Rhinos Africa and India” are bringing a timepiece onto the market: the Big Bang Tourbillon 5-Day Power Reserve SORAI. The organization dedicated to rhino conservation was founded by Kevin Pietersen, a former cricketer and Hublot ambassador.

The watch is limited to just 30 pieces and symbolizes the Swiss watch house’s commitment to exceptional watchmaking and the protection of endangered species.

This is what the Hublot Big Bang Tourbillon SORAI looks like

The design of the Spirit of Big Bang Tourbillon SORAI is more than just a technical masterpiece: it embodies the cause it champions. The gray ceramic housing is reminiscent of the robust skin of the rhinoceros. An animal that is now threatened with extinction. The warm gray was developed specifically for Hublot and used here for the first time on a Spirit of Big Bang model. This color is also reminiscent of rhinos.

Every watch sold helps support SORAI’s efforts to combat rhino hunting and raise public awareness of the ongoing crisis that threatens the species. Kevin Pietersen, a passionate conservationist, says: “This watch is not just a piece of technology, it represents a vital cause.” Profits from its sale go directly towards protecting these animals by funding conservation projects and anti-poaching initiatives. “
