1 adult and 1 juvenile injured in shooting on Illinois Avenue

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – As people gathered at an apartment complex in Shreveport, a suspect fired from outside the gate, wounding two people in the Mooretown neighborhood.

On September 27 at 9:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Illinois Avenue in the Mooretown neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers determined that two victims were inside a gated apartment complex during a gathering when shots were fired from outside the gate.

The two victims, an adult and a little girl, were both struck in the head by bullets.

The victims were taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests were made in the incident.

A reported suspect was described as a black male in a white sedan.
