NIA conducts searches in North Bastar in connection with killing of Army personnel by CPI terrorists (Moist).

New Delhi [India]September 28 (ANI): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted searches across the Amabeda area of ​​North Bastar district in the Kaker region of Chhattisgarh in connection with the brutal murder of an Indian Army personnel by terrorists of the banned CPI ( Maoist), the agency said in a press release.

During the raid in Useli, Gumjhir, Badetevda, Umarkumta and Amabeda villages, several locations of 11 suspects were extensively searched by NIA teams. During searches, air rifles, mobile phones, printers, laptops, hard drives, DVRs, motorcycles, incriminating Naxal documents and Rs 66,500 cash were seized, the NIA said.

Case RC-13/2024/NIA-RPR relates to the fatal attack on Motiram Achala, who was on leave from his post in the Indian Army, when he was attacked by a group of unknown CPI (Maoist) cadres near Murga Bazar was shot in the village of Useli, PS Amabeda, in February 2023.

He was at a local fair along with his elder brother Birajhu Ram Achala and his friends when he was attacked. After the murder, the attackers fled into the nearby jungle, shouting slogans such as “Lal Salam Jindabad”.
