Numerous celebrities at the Global Citizen Festival for more commitment against poverty

With a concert in New York’s Central Park, celebrities called for more action against poverty. The US singers Post Malone and Jelly Roll, among many others, performed at the Global Citizen Festival this year, as well as the musician LISA from the South Korean girl group Blackpink. Actor Hugh Jackman, for example, was on stage as moderator. A particular focus is on the topic of education in crisis regions such as Ukraine, the Gaza Strip, Afghanistan and Chad. German Development Minister Schulze pledged 15 million euros for the Alliance for Feminist Movements via video message. The alliance supports women’s and human rights organizations worldwide. As justification, a statement from the SPD politician states that no country in the world has yet achieved real equality. Everyone would benefit from this. “There would be less hunger, less poverty and more stability in the world.” That’s why it’s important that women all over the world fight together for their goals.
