The Blue Angels will close out the largest military air show in the United States on Sunday.

The Miramar Air Show 2024 takes place from Friday to Sunday. The flight line will be packed with immersive experiences and static displays to marvel at before military demonstration teams, civilian aerobatic teams, solo flight acts, vintage aircraft and warbirds take to the skies.

When will the Miramar Air Show 2024 take place?

The Miramar Air Show 2024 takes place this weekend from September 27th to 29th. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. and ticket holders can begin checking in at 9:00 a.m

Here is the schedule for Sunday’s 2024 air show:

  • 8 o’clock. Gates open to the public. Ticket holders have access to their respective areas from 9 a.m
  • 10:40 a.m. Red Bull Air Force
  • 11 a.m.: Welcome ceremony with the USMC Mounted Color Guard and the USN Leap Frogs
  • 11:20 a.m. Ed Hamill Folds of Honor PITTS S-2C Teaser / USMC MV-22 Osprey Demo
  • 11:40 a.m. USAF KC135 Stratotanker demo/Acemaker 2xT-33 formation demo
  • 12:05 p.m. Aaron Deliu Extra 330 aerobatics
  • 12:20 Marine Air-Ground Task Force (USMC MAGTF)
  • 1:15 p.m. Vicky Benzing P-51 “Plum Crazy”

Do I need tickets to go to the Miramar Air Show 2024 on Sunday?

No! Admission, parking and overhead seating are free. There are free seats on the east and west sides of the airline.

Where can I park on Sunday of the Miramar Air Show 2024?

As you enter the gates of the MCAS Miramar installation station you will be directed to the parking areas. Shuttles are available from each parking lot.

What can I bring to the Miramar Air Show 2024 on Sunday?

  • Keys, makeup, women’s products, comb, phone, wallet, credit cards, etc. in your pockets if you don’t want to put them in a clear bag or clutch
  • One large, clear bag is allowed per person
  • A 1-gallon ziplock bag or commercially available clear bag, plus a small clutch for personal items
  • Easily searchable large clear PVC vinyl bags
  • Transparent seat cushions and seat cushions without pockets, zippers, compartments or covers are permitted
  • Snacks and bottled water
  • Wagons (e.g. radio aircraft) and strollers
  • Service animals
  • Laptops/iPads, provided they are brought in a clear bag. No laptop bags/briefcases are permitted.
  • Binoculars/cameras
  • Beach folding chairs, garden chairs and stadium chairs

What can’t I bring to the Miramar Air Show 2024 on Sunday?

  • Coolers/ice chests are NOT permitted, with the exception of medically necessary items, which are permitted after proper inspection at a designated lane at each gate
  • Large conventional seat cushions with pockets, zippers, compartments or covers are not permitted
  • Outside of alcoholic beverages
  • FRS/GMRS radios, VHF band and other scanners
  • Transmitter/trans receiver
  • Bags, purses, tote bags, backpacks and any other type of luggage other than bags that meet the clear luggage policy are not permitted
  • Weapons of any kind (regardless of license) include, but are not limited to, firearms, knives (including pocket knives and multi-tools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray, mace, stun guns, and martial arts weapons.
  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Glass container
  • Bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, scooters (scooters and electric scooters), skateboards or hoverboards
  • Personal drones (e.g. quad or hex copters) may not be used on federal property or in airspace.
  • Laser or laser pointer
  • Tents, pop-ups, canopies
  • Hand umbrellas are permitted, but are NOT permitted in the stands or box seats
  • Tailgating/BBQ
  • Federally banned substances such as illegal narcotics and California legal substances such as marijuana.
