CeeDee Lamb and Josh Jacobs receive mega penalties

With Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb and Packers running back Josh Jacobs, the NFL has imposed a significant penalty on two players – the reason lies in Week 3.

Both Lamb and Jacobs are sanctioned for the so-called “lowering helmet,” consciously provoking contact with an opponent with their own helmet. This is what “NFL Network” reports.

While Lamb has to pay $22,511 for a first lowering helmet offense, it is the second time for Jacobs – the Packers star is being asked to pay $45,020.

The regulation has existed in the NFL since 2018 and is intended to prevent unnecessary hardship on running plays.

What’s curious is that in both situations there was no flag on the day of the game – both plays were only subsequently assessed as unsportsmanlike and a penalty was imposed.
