National Council election 2024: Results in the Ried district and its communities

The 2019 National Council election brought a clear victory for the ÖVP – ahead of the SPÖ, FPÖ and the Greens. The ÖVP was also clearly ahead in the Ried district. In today’s National Council election on September 29, 2024, the cards were reshuffled. DISTRICT RIED. The FPÖ is the big election winner in the Ried district. 35.50 percent of voters voted for the Freedom Party, which corresponds to an increase of 13.06 percent compared to 2019. At that time, the FPÖ was in second place with 22.44 percent. The ÖVP, which is in second place behind the FPÖ, suffered a bitter loss in the Ried district. At 29.74 percent, voters chose the People’s Party, 12.70 percent less than in 2019. At that time, the ÖVP was the clear number one with 42.43 percent. With 14.01 percent and a minus of 0.87 percent, the SPÖ was able to maintain the result compared to 2019 (14.89 percent). This time too, the Social Democrats are in third place with this election result. The Greens, on the other hand, had to accept major losses: only 6.99 percent of voters, 4.43 percent less than in 2019, gave their vote to the Greens in the Ried district. This meant that the Greens slipped into fifth place behind the Neos, who recorded an increase of 1.25 percent at 8.02 percent. On its debut in the Ried district, the Beer Party achieved 1.92 percent, the KPÖ 1.37 percent (+0.92 percent) and the MFG 1.09 percent.
