Representatives warn of practices being overloaded

On the occasion of “Safe Abortion Day”, Potsdam’s Equal Opportunity Representative Claudia Sprengel called for more options for safe abortions in Brandenburg. In Potsdam, there are five counseling centers and several practices that perform pregnancy fractures, Sprengel explained, according to a statement from the city. However, these are “used heavily by women from rural regions, as appropriate care structures are missing in many rural regions of Brandenburg”. This leads to overloading. Sprengel demands that access to safe abortions must be improved and the taboo broken.
