Sabrina Carpenter may be connected to Eric Adams’ Fed investigation

Sabrina Carpenter may be short and sweet, but apparently the pop star has a lot of influence in federal boardrooms. According to the New York PostThe “Please Please Please” singer may have been the starting point for New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ latest indictment (wire fraud, one count of conspiracy, two counts of soliciting a donation from a foreign national and one count of bribery). .

The outlet’s report claimed that Reverend Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn (the church featured in Carpenter’s video) was eventually subpoenaed over his business dealings following Sabrina Carpenter’s “Feather” music video saga. Investigators then learned that he was allegedly connected to Adams’ former chief of staff, Frank Carone.

When asked about the relationship, Brooklyn Diocese officials tried not to implicate him further, saying, “It would be inappropriate to comment further on this review, which is ongoing.”

However, the person didn’t seem to deny that there might be some truth to the connection between Gigantiello and Carone. “The diocese is committed to cooperating with law enforcement in any investigation,” they said. “Including behavior in individual parishes or the involvement of a priest.”

The statement does not confirm that Sabrina Carpenter’s video led to the investigation; Fans have jokingly referred to her as the savior of New York City.

“Oh, Sabrina saves pop music and the real world.” wrote a user.

“Sabrina Carpenter saved New York” joked another.
