The MediaTek Dimensity 9400 cracks 3 million points on AnTuTu, making it 50 percent faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Both the processor and the graphics chip are making immense progress, which means the Vivo X200 Pro should achieve first-class performance.

Vivo has published on the Chinese social network Weibo a first AnTuTu v10 benchmark result of the Vivo X200 Pro, which will be one of the first smartphones to be equipped with the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 9400. The result of just over 3 million points is a new AnTuTu record. Meanwhile, AnTuTu has published a result for the Oppo Find X8 based on the same chip, which achieved 2.88 million points.

The faster of the two results is a remarkable 47.2 percent faster than the Nubia RedMagic 9 Pro (approx. 775 euros on Amazon), which is currently the fastest smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 on the AnTuTu leaderboard. The Google Tensor G4 in the new Pixel 9 Pro XL can even be exceeded by 202 percent, as Google’s latest flagship chip can’t quite reach a million points. MediaTek’s direct predecessor model, the Dimensity 9300+, is outperformed by 48.9 percent.

While MediaTek’s new flagship processor can easily outperform the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in all four AnTuTu v10 rating categories, the race against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is likely to be much tighter, because at least in Geekbench, Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship SoC can beat it new Nuvia cores achieve even higher performance. According to rumors, the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 has an ARM Cortex-A925 performance core with clock speeds of up to 3.36 GHz, three Cortex-X4 at 2.8 GHz and four Cortex-A725 at 2.1 GHz.
