One dead, two injured in crash on I-75 in Saginaw

SAGINAW, Mich. (WNEM) – A Saginaw man was killed and two others were injured in a three-car crash on southbound I-75 on Saturday, September 28, according to the Michigan State Police Tri-City Post.

It happened near the I-675 on-ramp around 9:30 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 32-year-old Saginaw man was ejected from his 2013 Jeep and killed when it lost control and rolled on the highway, police said.

A 42-year-old Saginaw man stopped to render aid when he was struck by a Colorado pickup truck in 2004. According to police, a 63-year-old man from Saginaw was behind the wheel of the pickup. The 42-year-old was seriously injured and is in critical condition in hospital.

The Colorado also hit a 2007 Honda Civic, which was also stopped during the accident.

A 31-year-old Midland woman was sitting in her vehicle when she was struck and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, MSP said. She was taken to hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The incident remains under investigation.
