Saxon: “Hell, Fire & Steel” tour announced

As the name of the concert tour suggests, on their “Hell, Fire “Steel” tour, SAXON not only play songs from their current album “Hell, Fire And Damnation”, but also the entire album “Wheels Of Steel” live. The British metal band’s classic will celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2025. You can find all information about the tour here.

“We are really looking forward to traveling to Europe again early next year and wanted to do something special to mark the occasion. It was fantastic to be a part of the Judas Priest tour and we wanted to take some of that spirit and energy with us on our next tour. And what could be better than playing the first album “Wheels Of Steel” in its entirety. Of course we will also play the usual selection of hits and other fan favorites as well as songs from our new album “Hell, Fire and Damnation”.

SAXON released their current studio album “Hell, Fire And Damnation” on January 19th. You can read our review here. Biff Byford explains below how the British heavy metal band’s 24th studio record got its title, which translates roughly to “Hell, Fire and Damnation”:

“When I was a little boy, my dad used to say this when he was angry: ‘Hell, fire and damnation, what did that do now?!’ Whenever I messed up, like carving designs into the kitchen table. The saying was very ‘Yorkshire’ these days.
