The new ones Google Pixel Buds were recently launched and were accompanied by Google with a series of updates for all users and also owners of previous generations. Now comes the next step, which should increase convenience for some users: The smart headphones can now be managed, controlled and updated via a new web app. Previously this was only available to ChromeOS users.

The Google Pixel Buds have their own app on Android that provides setting and control options, enables updates or can simply display the battery status. This app will certainly remain, but now for the first time Windows and MacOS users are given the opportunity to manage the smart headphones directly in the browser. A new web app is being launched that provides all the previously known functions – right up to the firmware update.

You can find the new web app at mypixelbuds.google.com, which will first welcome you with brief information and then allow you to get started completely. The browser or website is asked to allow access to connected devices and, in the best case, the Pixel Buds are found immediately and the connection is established. Once the connection has been successfully established, users can use the website as a web app and, if necessary, also install it as a progressive web app for quick access.

All the settings that are also available in the Android app are available in the web app. From ANC to conversation detection (Pixel Buds Pro), touch settings to the equalizer to balance, in-ear detection and access to the serial number. Certainly very helpful for happy Pixel Buds owners.
