Google Maps in Android Auto: Saved addresses can now be edited more quickly (screenshot)

The small wave of updates all around Google Maps in Android Auto is not over yet and now brings with it another improvement that simplifies use: After the rollout, it will be easier than before for users to change the saved addresses for home and work directly on the infotainment display. You no longer need to switch to the settings.

These days some are coming in handy Google Maps updates for Android Auto rolled out that focus on navigation. Now there is a further improvement, which is very practical, but is probably only rarely needed by the vast majority of users: changing the home address and the work address is possible directly on the map interface and therefore does not require accessing the settings or using it of the smartphone.

To change one of the two saved addresses, you simply have to scroll to the bottom of the search suggestions and tap the gear icon there. In the following list you can then choose to change the addresses for living and working. The entry can either be made directly or selected on the map. If you have changed one or both entries, this will be saved directly in your Google account and will therefore also be adapted to your smartphone.

You will probably rarely need to change your home address. When it comes to the work address, it may be interesting for people who constantly change work locations.
