Stick To Your Guns announce new album “Keep Planting Flowers”.

Hardcore quintet Stick To Your Guns announce new studio album “Keep Planting Flowers”. It will be released on January 10, 2025 via SharpTone Records. There is also a video for the single “Severed Forever”. A tour is also announced.

The group consists of Jesse Barnett [vocals]Andrew Rose [bass]Adam Galindo [drums]Chris Rawson [guitar] and Josh James [guitar]. Pre-orders for the album are possible from October 8th.

“Keep Planting Flowers is a collection of songs that exist to defy the nihilistic narrative that plagues our minds and societies,” Barnett says of the album. “One that says that things just are the way they are and that, regardless of the burning anger or bottomless depression that fills us, there is simply nothing we can do about it.” I reject such a joyless view of the only thing life that I am allowed to live. A new world needs a new you, so keep planting flowers no matter how bad things get.”

Regarding the single and video, Barnett continues: “In an industry where there is only one true artist for every 250 entrepreneurs, this song is a dedication to the ‘artists and musicians’ who are nothing more than lackeys or errand boys of theirs .” Superiors are. I have completely broken away from the superficial, competitive market mentality of ‘screw your neighbor’ and moved on to one that is more in tune with the longings of my mind. I won’t pretend that lines haven’t been drawn. I have chosen my side and found meaning in who and what I fight for.”

Also on the record are two feature guests: Scott Vogel from Terror and Connie Sgarbossa from SeeYouSpaceCowboy.

STYG will be on tour for the next few months. In January and February they travel to Europe with Bodysnatcher, Elwood Stray and No Cure. All dates and locations can be found in the graphic below.
