Slow start

The hockey players from FT 1844 Freiburg didn’t manage to win in the second game of the new league season either – and yet the 1-1 draw at VfB Stuttgart was “okay” according to FT player Hannah Pfeifer. Many players are still on their semester break, and a large part of the team is not yet at the necessary fitness and technical level. Stuttgart was able to extend its lead after 1-0 with numerous penalty corners, but Freiburg held on and equalized in the third quarter through Charlotte Hillemanns. At the weekend, 1844, bottom of the table, traveled to sixth-placed TSV Ludwigsburg and seventh-placed SSV Ulm, again with a small squad. “Nevertheless, we want to get our first three points there,” said Hannah Pfeifer.
