When “Bauer sucht Frau” started, the youngest candidate in the current season was only two years old. Inka Bause, 55, is proud of this statement at the start of the 20th season. 14 farmers (twelve farmers and two farmers’ women) are taking part in the anniversary relay. Eleven of them come to the traditional barn festival – but only ten meet their chosen ones. Bactrian camels and erotic tonka beans

Yannik is the name of one of the youngest in the season. The 22-year-old lives with his family on a farm in the Swabian Alb. He enjoys brewing schnapps with his grandfather, especially the one made from tonka beans, which has an “eroticizing” effect, as his grandfather explains. Yannik likes women with “messy hair”. She also has to be able to “kick his ass.” He invites three women to the barn party, and not just with curly hair. The trio is later reduced to one woman, as his “mom” decided.

Marvin, 30, keeps animals on his farm that have never existed in 20 seasons. The trained car mechanic runs a camel farm with Bactrian camels, llamas and alpacas. He also invited three women. At first he blames himself slightly in front of them because he can’t open a bottle of liquor that he was given as a gift.

Konrad, 61, also has exotic animals on his farm. Peacocks also live on his poultry farm, although their eggs and meat cannot be sold. Instead of flowers, the widower brings his two chosen ones a bouquet of peacock feathers. Lasts longer. The poultry farmer finally chooses Doris, 60.

Andreas, 31, is more conventional; pigs, sheep, cows and chickens live on his farm in North Rhine-Westphalia. He spends every free minute with his dog Chiara. At the barn festival he chooses the bank employee Lisa-Marie, 31.

Pony farm and Püppi

Paul, 22, is the relay youngster alongside Yannik. The Saxon’s parents have a say in the selection of the candidate. When he reads the letter from a trained farmer, his enthusiasm is great. Paul is looking for a woman to live forever on the farm he is renovating. He invited three “giggling” (Inka Bause) candidates. After Paul chooses kindergarten teacher Sarah, 20, the mood changes and tears flow.

Also in the anniversary season there is a farmer’s wife who is looking for a man. Jennifer, 58, runs a pony farm near Dortmund and, after ten years as a single vegetarian, is ready for a relationship. Your partner doesn’t have to be an “Adonis”, but there has to be something visually there. When it comes to her two men, it’s not the talkative Norbert who wins, but rather the taciturn Sweer, 63. Not necessarily a hunk, but experienced in agriculture.

Heino, 50, is also looking for a man. Ideally someone who will sing duets with him at karaoke. The East Frisian lives with over 100 cows on his farm, as well as various other animal species, including the farm classics, peacocks and emus. However, he is not looking for a man for court, but for bed, as he admits in a Freudian slip of the tongue. One of his three candidates is a tantra specialist.

In addition to his work as a dairy farmer, Manfred, 38, is also a vocational school teacher – and the father of a two-year-old daughter. He is open to a woman who is already a mother. He invited Susanne, 39, to the barn festival as the only applicant. She is the mother of two sons, but has always wanted a “Doll”. In any case, she has already “turned Manfred’s head,” as he admits.

Marcel, 29, is so curly that Yannik would be happy. The Lower Franconian plays trombone and accordion in two music clubs. But he doesn’t choose Eva, who plays the guitar, but instead Jasmin, 30, who has a gift for craftsmanship.

Andre, 29, wears his trademark over his short, sparse blonde hair: a black baseball cap pulled over his ears. Andre dreams of a big farmer’s wedding, and for this goal he has chosen two women who describe themselves as “crazy”. Of course in a positive sense.
