Brand new smartwatch available for much cheaper

Google didn’t launch the Pixel Watch 3 until September 10, 2024. And although the smartwatch is still brand new, the first retailers have already massively reduced the prices. Amazon is also there. There you can get the largest 45 mm model really cheaply. But the 41 mm model is also reduced in price.

Google is offering the Pixel Watch 3 in two sizes for the first time. You can choose between a 41mm and 45mm model. The recommended retail price is 399 euros and 449 euros for the WLAN versions. LTE costs 100 euros more each. But that was once, because you can already get it now Pixel Watch 3 with 45 mm and WiFi on Amazon for just 319 euros (view on Amazon). Only the color has gone down in price. Other dealers demand significantly more.

After only a very short time, the Pixel Watch 3 has arrived in price regions where one can say that the price is appropriate. Especially with the 45mm model. The price-performance ratio is now right so soon after the market launch.

Is the Pixel Watch 3 worth buying?

I have worn the Pixel Watch 1 (test), Watch 2 (test) and Watch 3 (45 mm) from launch until the next generation. In any case, development is moving in the right direction. The Pixel Watch 3 is Google’s best smartwatch yet and especially the larger 45 mm model ensures better readability. I just think it’s a shame that you still need a Fitbit subscription if you want to exploit the full potential of the smartwatch.

If you already have a Pixel phone and want to stay in the ecosystem, then I recommend the Pixel Watch 3 with 45 mm. The battery life is slightly better there and you can read the display more easily while exercising. If you have a Samsung cell phone, you should choose a Galaxy Watch.
