One Piece – An important character could end up dying because the Elban arc shows suspicious parallels to an earlier arc

The One Piece manga has left the Egghead arc behind with shocking twists and a big bang. Chapter 1126 began a new adventure for the Straw Hats and marked the beginning of the Elban Arc.

One One Piece fan seems to have some suspicions about the new storylines on Elban. All of these assumptions are based on the parallels between Sabaody and Egghead. Elban could also continue the pattern of parallel plots, this time mirroring the Amazon Lily arc.

The fan develops a theory: The new Elban arc will be similar – if not exactly the same – as the Amazon Lily arc – and that could in turn result in the death of a very important character.

One Piece fan and X-user @writingpanini puts forward the following thesis in theory: Similar things will happen in Elban as on Amazon Lily.

The reason for this assumption is his observations on the parallels between the official arcs: Sabaody and Egghead. Panini believes the pattern will continue in the narrative and lists some observations and conjectures in his X post:

• Kuma saved the Straw Hats on Sabaody and they were then separated from each other
• The Straw Hats saved Kuma and were separated from each other after Egghead’s escape
• The 9 members of the Straw Hats were scattered across various islands on Sabaody
• Elban is divided into 9 different “realms” and the Straw Hats may split up
• At that time, each Straw Hat member trained on a different island in Sabaody
• Each Straw Hat member may train in a different Elban Empire
• Boa fell in love with Luffy
• Loki could fall in love with Nami
• Ace was captured and taken to Impel Down
• Garp was captured and held captive by Blackbeard
• Ace’s captivity caused the Great War at Marineford
• Garp’s imprisonment could set up the next major battle between Luffy and other parties

If there really is another battle on Elban like the one at Marineford, it could mean the death of another character to whom Luffy is close. Panini draws the conclusion here that Garp’s imprisonment reflects Ace’s situation at the time. And since both of them also belong to Luffy’s family, this doesn’t sound like a coincidence to the fan.

One thing is certain: although Garp was confirmed to have survived after the battle with Kuzan, the admiral is not out of danger and could be killed by Blackbeard at any time.

Panini then expands his theory even further. If the big battle to free Garp occurs in the future, there could be another person at the center of events: Shanks.

Shanks had already put an end to the big fight at Marineford. According to the One Piece fan, the future battle could also reflect Shank’s role, but this time with a different outcome.

This time, instead of the battle, the fight could end the captain of the Red Hair Pirates – and result in his death. Just like Ace, Garp could also lose his life to protect Luffy.

According to the theory, Luffy will meet Gol D. Roger crew member Scopper Gaban after the events on Elban. This is intended to serve as a counterpart to Luffy’s meeting on Silver Rayleigh after the battle at Marineford. Both characters were the strongest members of the Roger pirate crew aside from Roger personally.
