Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has taken the gaming industry by storm as it seems to have taken a surprise fast pass to the top of many gamers’ current favorite games list. In a way, it feels like Helldivers 2 all over again, but Space Marine 2 has also just gotten started. Currently, it’s sitting comfortably at a “Very Positive” Steam review rating with over 70,000 reviews, and developer Saber Interactive has no intentions of letting the game fizzle out anytime soon. In fact, if some recent armor leaks are true, there are big things in store for Space Marine 2 players.

At the end of the day, game leaks of any kind should be taken with a grain of salt until outright confirmed or denied by the developers or the game itself. That being said, the most recent Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 Leaks are a good omen of what’s to come in the game, even if something other than the leaks turns out to be true.

Upcoming Space Marine 2 Armor May Have Been Leaked

Upcoming Space Marine 2 Mark 6 and Mark 7 Armor Appears to Have Leaked

According to a fairly recent post on the official Space Marine subreddit, images of the Mark 6 “Beaky” Corvus and Mark 7 Aquila Astartes helmets were datamined, suggesting Saber Interactive has plans to expand Space Marine 2‘s customization beyond what it has already done with the game’s Mark 10 Tacticus Power Armor. Both helmets are from Power Armor sets introduced in older editions of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop, with the Mark 7 Aquila belonging to the Imperator Armor set that is arguably the game’s most iconic Power Armor appearance.

With Space Marine 2 set in Warhammer 40,000‘s current Indomitus Era, that means it features Primaris marines, which were first introduced in the 8th edition of the tabletop miniature wargame in 2017. However, the Mark 6 “Beaky” Corvus helmet that has been datamined would mean Space Marine 2 is pulling from a Power Armor set introduced in the days of the Raven Guard Legion, which began in the Rogue Trader first edition of Warhammer 40,000. This makes the Mark 6 Power Armor the first pattern for Space Marine models in the game and is, therefore, well worth the anticipation of its possible addition to Space Marine 2.

Even More Customization Leaks Happened More Recently

Images of the Mark 6 “Beaky” Corvus and Mark 7 Aquila Astartes helmets themselves aren’t the only things to be datamined from Space Marine 2‘s files, as Redditor agentduckman12 more recently posted several images related to what could be arriving with the game’s second season. Included in this datamine are images of seven different weapon skins (including what appears to be a Salamanders Sniper Rifle skin), a Dark Angels helmet, more images of the Mark 6 “Beaky” helmet, as well as what looks like a cloth cape.

Based on the current roadmap for Space Marine 2the Dark Angels helmet falls right in line with what Saber has planned for the game’s next season, which includes a Dark Angels Champion Pack, Cosmetic Pack, and Weapon Skin pack. It’s currently unclear when Season 2 of Space Marine 2 will begin, as Saber has simply indicated that it will start sometime before the end of 2024. However, these leaks should turn out to be true, Space Marine 2 players have plenty to look forward to.
