OBM 1000 Hill: Before the start – RALLY

In addition to the electric vehicles used by the organization for the OBM Land of 1000 Hills Rally, the mobility center from Krumbach, like last year, provides electricity from its own production and generation. There are extensive facilities in this regard on the roofs of all workshops and office buildings. Thanks to photovoltaic systems that are perfectly sized, green electricity can be stored in storage systems and made available to the entire rally entourage in the adjacent service center with 45 teams.

There are also 45 teams that will be starting in the final 2024 State Rally Championship race, which begins this afternoon at 4 p.m. in Krumbach. The favorites for victory are “host” Luca Waldherr (Citroen C3 Rally2), record national champion Raimund Baumschlager (Skoda Fabia Rally2) and the current ERC3 European champion Filip Kohn (Skoda Fabia Rally2) from the Czech Republic.

Familiar faces can also be found in the cars ahead. The German Ralf Hillmann drives the 0 car (Ford Fiesta Rallye2 from ZM Racing), the 0A car (Citroen Saxo VTS) is driven by Styrian Martin Pucher, and Rebenland rally organizer Erich is in the 00 car (Renault Clio RS). Splash behind the wheel, the 000 vehicle (Ford Explorer) is driven by 1000 Hill Rally organizer Willi Stengg. There are also two VIP cars in use. Former Opel R2 champion Andreas Kainer drove an Opel Adam R2, and Hermann Haslauer drove a Citroen DS3 R5, who had to cancel his start in the peloton because his co-driver became ill.

In addition, tomorrow, Saturday, before the Panoramastrasse special stage, which will be completed as SP 10 and SP 12, 15 Ferraris from the Ferrari Club Austria will form the vanguard of the peloton. You drive an internal consistency race as part of the Ferrari Trophy.
