Christian County woman charged with online child sexual abuse

CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) – 33-year-old Stephanie Vickers is charged with multiple counts of child sexual exploitation following an undercover investigation into cyber crimes against children, Kentucky State Police report.

According to KSP, the investigation began after it was discovered that Vickers had shared child sexual exploitation images online.

The investigation led to an interview at a Hopkinsville residence on October 3rd. The equipment used in the crime was also seized and taken away for examination.

Vickers is currently facing four counts of distributing content depicting a minor in a sexual performance under the age of 12; four counts of possession of objects depicting a minor in a sexual performance under the age of 12; and four counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor under 16 years of age.

Vickers is being held at the Christian County Detention Center.

The investigation is still ongoing.
