The first Bad Blood took place on this day 27 years ago in St. Louis, Missouri. The event was then known as “Badd Blood: In Your House.” This event featured the brutal Hell in a Cell match.

Shawn Michaels defeated The Undertaker in this match to become the #1 contender for the WWF Championship at Survivor Series. Michaels defeated Bret Hart to win the title.

Bad Blood did not return to the WWE calendar under a new name until 2003. It was back in 2004, but was then removed from the company’s premium live events program. A Hell in a Cell match was part of every Bad Blood event.
