Mirage – This is what you need to know about the hero

Mirage – This is what you need to know about the hero

With Mirage, Valve’s new MOBA shooter Deadlock has a new hero. We introduce him to you here.

What do you need to know about Mirage? Mirage can be played in two different ways: either as a support or as a strong damage dealer that really does a lot of damage. Additionally, two different types of builds have emerged in the past few days.

Some builds rely on Mirage’s really powerful primary weapon and combine it with his third ability, Djinn’s Mark. The other builds build on the second ability and its effects.

These are Mirage’s capabilities

Skill 1 – Tornado

What does the ability do? The first ability turns Mirage into a tornado, dealing damage and trapping enemies in a vortex of air. This vortex of air immobilizes the affected opponent and even blocks their movement abilities. When you exit your tornado form, you have a chance to dodge bullets.

  • Duration: 0.75 seconds
  • Cooldown: 32 seconds
  • Damage: 70
  • Radius: 3.5 meters
  • Dodge chance: 25%

Skill 2 – Fire Scarabs

What does the ability do? After activating the ability, your Scarab Beetle can shoot enemies. Enemies hit receive a debuff that reduces their resistance to bullets. It also represents part of the maximum health of the enemy hit. This means: The enemy takes damage while you heal.

  • Charges: 4
  • Cooldown between charges: 0 seconds
  • Cooldown: 32 seconds
  • Debuff: -10% bullet resistance
  • Debuff duration: 14 seconds
  • Maximum health available: 90

Bonus tip: You can shoot at enemies with your primary weapon and throw bugs at them at the same time.

Skill 3 – Sign of the Djinn

What does the ability do? Your shots cause an increasing multiplier for enemies hit. Once the multiplier expires or the number of stacks reaches the cap, the stack is consumed and the target takes base damage multiplied by the number above their head. The opponents are also displayed on the mini-map.

  • Base damage: 16
  • maximum multiplier: 8x
  • Multiplier Duration: 4.5 seconds
  • Cooldown between multipliers: 2.5 seconds
  • Reveal time: 2 seconds

If you “consume” a multiplier, you can deal the damage immediately.

Ultimate – Traveler

What does the ability do? Select an enemy that you can see on the minimap and use “Traveler” to teleport to him. However, you end up in the position where he was when you activated the ultimate. After teleporting, Mirage has increased movement speed and increased rate of fire.

  • Cooldown: 130 seconds
  • Activation time: 2 seconds
  • Movement speed change: +2.5 meters per second
  • Fire rate change: +20%

Mirage Build – These are the items you should purchase

What kind of build is this? The build relies on the powerful weapon of Mirage and accordingly makes use of the ability “Djinn’s Mark”.

The build comes from the content creator “AverageJonas”, who specializes in deadlock. He previously worked as a content creator for Riot Games’ tactical shooter Valorant, but would like to concentrate on Valve’s Deadlock from now on.

The build is currently still in progress and could change in the future – after all, Mirage hasn’t been out for long and the expert hasn’t found a perfect build yet.

You should buy these items: To make it as easy as possible for you when purchasing, we are including a screenshot of the build for you. This way you can see directly which items you need to buy.

You can also select and activate the build directly in the game so that only the items that you should buy are shown to you in the match. To do this, enter “Twitch.tv/AverageJonas Gun Mirage” in the search bar in Deadlock.

What do you have to consider when purchasing an item? Make sure to buy the items from left to right. AverageJonas also states that you should sell Extra Rain in the mid-game. In the late game you also sell the “Hollow Point Bullets” and “Ammo Replenishment” abilities.

You also have to:

  • Apply Quicksilver Reload to Djinn’s Mark
  • You apply Surperior Cooldown to Tornado
