Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fuming again after the results of the final elimination ahead of Sunday night’s show were leaked online.

The spoiler, released on a popular Strictly spoiler sharing website, revealed the name of the celebrity who will be leaving the competition before the result is officially announced on the recorded results show.

This leak has caused a stir among fans, with many taking to social media to express their frustration over the spoilers as they feel it is ruining the excitement of Sunday night’s results show. While Express.co.uk chose not to reveal who was sent home, fans have been vocal in response to the revelation that the lost couple didn’t stand a chance!

One stressed: “I want to thank the British public for getting it right for once,” while another appeared to cheer, proclaiming: “So happy with this result, so glad they’re gone.” A third agreed : “Absolutely the right result, even if they had no chance with the song choice, right?” (sic)

Another argued: “Personally, I would have preferred the other contestant to have been sent home, but they were definitely the right runners-up.” While some fans are avoiding social media in the hours before the results are released on Sunday, others are calling for stricter measures Measures to prevent leaks.

Tom Dean became the first celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2024.

After finishing in the bottom two, the Olympian competed against singer and actress Toyah Willcox in the dance-off on Sunday (September 29).

Tom and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova took to the dance floor and performed their cha-cha to “Boogie Wonderland” by Earth, Wind & Fire for the second time. Meanwhile, Toyah and her dance partner Neil Jones reprized their jive to “Nutbush City Limits” by Ike & Tina Turner.

After the dance-off, Anton Du Beke voted to save Tom and Nadiya, but his fellow judges – Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Shirley Ballas – voted to save Toyah and Neil.

In an emotional moment, Tom reflected on his Strictly journey. “I’ve had the best time these last few weeks and it’s been incredible to get to work with Nadiya,” he said.

Toyah and Neil and Paul & Karen scored the lowest with 15 and 19 respectively. At the top of the leaderboard were Tasha and Aljaz with 34 points, Sarah and Vito with 33 points alongside Shayne and Nancy as well as Punam and Gorka.
