Detroit Lions game-by-game predictions after the first quarter of the season

The Detroit Lions face a monumental challenge and will once again become champions of the NFC North Division.

Minnesota will likely begin the 2024 season with a 5-0 record, making its Week 7 road game against Kevin O’Connell’s squad crucial for Detroit.

Dan Campbell was asked before the bye week if the team had lost its true identity by throwing too many passes against the Buccaneers, the team’s only loss this season.

Campbell explained: “Like in Jacksonville, whenever that was, two years ago, we gave it quite a bit in that game and that’s what we wanted to do back then and we had a lot of success. Things were going well for us” and that was the game plan.

“So every week is different and I think in most cases we want to be balanced. That’s good for us. We have the backs, we have the O-line,” Campbell continued. “But we also have a quarterback and we have explosive receivers. We have playmakers, so I think you take each week as it comes.”
