The New York Liberty advanced to the championship series on Sunday after eliminating the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces 76-62. The Sun forced a decisive Game 5 against the Lynx with a 92-82 win in Game 4 in their semifinal series on Tuesday.

It marks the Liberty’s back-to-back finals appearances. New York made it to the championship last year before losing to the Aces in the 2023 WNBA Finals. The Liberty are seeking their first-ever championship. The Lynx last won it all in 2017, while the Sun are also looking to win their first title.
