Melania Trump reveals details about her first date with Donald and refugee sweaters

Melania Trump reveals details about her first date with Donald and refugee sweaters

Melania Trump’s autobiography “Melania” is published this week. For many Americans, the former first lady is an enigma. This is unlikely to change much after reading the 182 pages of her memoirs.

Melania: “I’m not the only one questioning the election results”

Melania’s stance on abortion rights caused surprise: “It is essential to ensure that women can make autonomous decisions about their decision to have children, based on their own beliefs and free from any interference or pressure from the government,” writes the third wife of Donald Trump.

But she agrees with him on many other points: for example, Trump’s false statements about Joe Biden’s election victory. “Many Americans still have doubts about the election today. “I’m not the only one questioning the election results,” she writes. She didn’t mention that it was her husband who sowed these doubts. She also denies the allegations that she kept her mouth shut during the storming of the Capitol instead of calling on the mob to peace: her press secretary did not properly inform her about the events on January 6th.

First date: “I was drawn to his magnetic energy”

While many authors go on promotional tours before book releases, Melania gave almost no interviews to market her work. According to CNN, her publisher charged $250,000 for an interview with the 54-year-old. The broadcaster refused.
On the other hand, Melania appeared free of charge on the competitor “Fox News”. Anyone hoping for juicy details about their marriage was disappointed: “We met at a party. There’s a chapter in the book about that,” she told “Fox and Friends.” She sounded similarly matter-of-fact about her wedding: “As a bride, you want everything to go smoothly.” And it did. We had a lovely day.”

To do this, she lists the names of prominent wedding guests in the book, such as Hillary and Bill Clinton, Shaquille O’Neal, as well as appearances by Tony Bennett, Paula Anka and Billy Joel. About the evening she met Trump in a club, she writes: “I was drawn to his magnetic energy.” About their first date, on which Trump drove her to his new properties in a Mercedes, she proclaims the wisdom: “Driving offers freedom – which I always value.” Four years later she moved into his penthouse. They often stayed at home in the evenings, she reveals. They cook. He turned up the music – like hits by Elton John.

Melania doesn’t say a word about the “Grab them by the Pussy” video

After the birth of son Barron in 2006, Donald wanted more children, she told Fox News: “But I said, one is totally enough for me.” I know how busy he is. Everything depends on me.” Barron was perfect and also became the center of her mother’s life. “She moved from Slovenia to the USA to be with him.” Amalija Knavs was extremely close to Barron: “She was a second mother to him, especially because of my busy schedule in the White House.” The two of them had an incredible one strong bond. A relationship like no other.”

Her mother also appears at the beginning of the book. When Melania came to New York from Slovenia as a model at the age of 26, she wore a necklace with the German words “I love you”. Because her mother came from Austria. Regarding her death in January, Melania said on “Fox News”: “It’s a moment that no one can prepare you for.” The pain still comes over her in waves.

However, she does not discuss feelings about her marriage in the memoirs. Melania doesn’t say a word about Trump’s hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, nor about the scandal when the “Grab them by the Pussy” video surfaced.

Melania Trump wore jacket at refugee shelter

This is why she explains the infamous “I Don’t Care, Do You?” jacket, which she wore to visit a refugee shelter for children in Texas: She wanted to show the press how much she didn’t care about their negative reporting.

The gesture with which she slapped away Trump’s hand during a state visit was also completely misinterpreted. They refused to shake his hand because he was walking in front of her with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife: “There was simply not enough space for the four of us on the red carpet.”

Melania will also make it clear again that her son is not autistic. Melania still cannot forgive comedian Rosie O’Donnell’s social media speculation at the beginning of Trump’s presidency that the then ten-year-old Barron might be autistic. Barron was then terribly bullied online and in real life. “No apology can make up for the damage this has done to him.”

She barely mentioned her stepchildren in the memoirs. Only when promoting the book on “Fox News” did Melania say about the challenges of a blended family: “I have no control over my husband or his children.” Not even over my own child. We are all individuals. All that matters is that you live your life with love and respect.”
