According to rumors, the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 will be delayed

The reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 is reportedly not imminent.

According to a new Nintendo rumor, the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 has been delayed. The new rumor claims that Nintendo had originally planned to unveil its new Nintendo Switch console sometime this week, but that is no longer the plan, or at least that’s what the rumor claims. This comes following a flurry of rumors that a September/early October reveal was in the works.

The source of the new rumor is Un café con Nintendo, a source previously involved in the aforementioned rumors that the console would be revealed in the aforementioned window. In other words, they’ve been wrong lately. However, we don’t know if this is because their information is incorrect or because their plans have changed.

However, the source claims that it is the latter. According to the Nintendo podcast, the Nintendo Switch 2 was supposed to be presented next week, but now this is no longer planned. What isn’t mentioned is when the new reveal will happen.

As you may recall, the first Nintendo Switch was unveiled on October 20, 2016, before launching in March 2017. It’s still possible that the Nintendo Switch 2 repeats this reveal and release formula, but time is running out for that. Of course, the longer it takes for the console to be revealed, the more likely that means it won’t be released until 2025 and not sooner as many rumors suggest, as Nintendo simply wants to mount a proper marketing campaign for the console and those released on it games.

At the moment everyone seems to be guessing when the Nintendo Switch 2 will be revealed. Of course, some at Nintendo know the planned date and so do some of its partners, but these things are fluid. So even if someone in the know reveals the date in advance, that doesn’t mean that date will stick. These types of events are significantly postponed before they are officially announced.
