Who won the last election?

In the 2019 Haryana Assembly elections, INC’s Dharam Singh Chhoker secured victory in the Samalkha seat. He defeated Shashi Kant Kaushik of the BJP by a margin of 14,942 votes. The lead was 9.52 percent of the total votes cast. The INC’s share of the vote in this election was 52.16 percent.

In the 2014 Haryana Assembly elections, Ravinder Machhrauli, an independent candidate, won the seat by defeating Dharam Singh Chhoker of INC. Ravinder won with a margin of 20,373 votes, which accounted for 13.54 percent of the total votes. The independent candidate had a share of the vote of 35.42 percent in the 2014 election.
