Khalen Saunders on brother Kam taking on Taylor Swift, Chiefs

Kameron Saundersa fan favorite dancer Taylor Swift‘S Epoch tourmust choose between a rock and a hard place during the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New Orleans Saints football game.

Kam, 32, is the brother of the Saints defensive tackle Khalen Saunderswhose team will face the Chiefs on Monday, October 8th. Swift, of course, is dating the Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. (Khalen, 28, previously played for the Missouri team alongside Kelce, 35, from 2019 to 2022.)

According to Khalen, it’s not even a question who Kam will be rooting for during the Monday Night Football game.

“Me, of course,” Khalen joked to reporters on Thursday, October 3. “He doesn’t care about the Chiefs. He takes care of his brother. This is his boss, but I’m his brother. I was here first.”

He added: “Hopefully [Taylor] will be there. Unless, [Kam] will be on my side and cheer. He won’t root for the Chiefs – although he actually has a key to the city in St. Louis and Kansas City too, but that’s beyond the point. He’ll cheer for me because I’m paying for his ticket.”

The Saints travel to Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri for the NFL game. It is currently unknown whether the 34-year-old pop star will be in attendance on Monday – she attended the first two home games but skipped the next two away games.

Swift and Kelce, also 34, have been together since summer 2023. Almost a year later, Kelce made his first Epoch tour Debut when he accompanied Kam in the pantomime “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” during a show at London’s Wembley Stadium. (His fellow dancer Jan Ravnik also appeared in the sketch.)

“The Saunders brothers were already my favorite,” Kelce joked on Instagram in June, responding to Kam’s recap of the London performance. “From winning the Super Bowl with Sir Bink @khalennotkaylen to having fun bringing Tay back to life on stage with you the other night.”

Swift and Kam are currently on a break Epochs shows – the concerts continue later this month before finally wrapping up in December – where the Grammy winner spent a lot of time with Kelce.

“They are spending as much time together as possible while balancing their careers and individual responsibilities – his playing and her music empire as well as personal projects,” a source said exclusively Us weekly earlier this month. “Her schedule will be very busy, so Taylor enjoyed a few days of freedom before her upcoming shows.”

According to the insider, Swift and Kelce are “both focused on their work” and plan to think about “their next steps” early next year.
