If you accidentally deleted videos or photos in iCloud, you can save the valuable memories on your iPhone and iPad using the backup function.

iCloud’s backup function can be a real savior in an emergency. If you have thought about backing up your data with this function in time, you can easily restore it in the event of accidental deletion. To do this, proceed as follows:

    First go to the settings on your iPhone/iPad.

    Now tap on the iCloud icon and scroll down to the “Storage and Backup” button.

    The existing backups will now be displayed under “Manage storage” if you have previously created them.

    Here you now have the opportunity to reset your device. During this process you can restore the files from your iCloud backup under “Configure”.

If you don’t prefer iCloud in the app but use it via iCloud.com, you have another option to restore deleted photos, at least in the short term.

    Here in the main menu under “Photos” click on “Recently Deleted” in the sidebar. If the sidebar doesn’t appear, click the small screen-like rectangle.

    Then select the photos you want to restore. Then click “Restore”.
