Chiefs brilliant but confident
For Taylor Swift there’s nothing to be amazed at, but something to cheer about

The Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeatable in the NFL, the Super Bowl winner remains on course to defend his title. The Chiefs often offer tough football fare against the New Orleans Saints, but in the end they can still celebrate.

Despite numerous mistakes in attack, the Kansas City Chiefs around stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce also won the fifth game of the NFL season. The Super Bowl winners of the past two seasons scored 26:13 against the New Orleans Saints. Other than the Chiefs, only the Minnesota Vikings are undefeated this season. For the Saints, for whom Equanimeous St. Brown once again played no role, it was the third defeat in the fifth game of the season.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift cheered from the stands at Arrowhead Stadium as her partner Kelce caught nine balls for a total of 70 yards, but she also saw numerous missed opportunities in the hosts’ attacks. Mahomes remained without a touchdown pass until the end, and the Saints stopped the Chiefs short of the end zone on four occasions and only allowed one field goal each time, even though the champions had gotten within 20 yards. Particularly annoying was a pass in the third quarter that jumped from a teammate’s hands to an opponent’s and appeared as an interception in Mahomes’ statistics.

On the other hand, quarterback Derek Carr led the Saints to two strong touchdowns after passes, but had a costly bad pass himself and in the end no means left to really emphasize the Chiefs. “We were outplayed,” Saints coach Dennis Allen said. “We couldn’t really move much on either side of the ball.”

There is now a week off for Mahomes and the Chiefs. Only on October 20th will a new edition of last season’s Super Bowl continue against the previously disappointing San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs want to become the first team in history to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.
