Mette-Marit from Norway: After the scandal surrounding her son Marius: Why she has to show her face here

Mette-Marit from Norway: After the scandal surrounding her son Marius: Why she has to show her face here

It is currently not an easy time for Mette-Marit from Norway (51). Her eldest son Marius Borg Høiby (27) has been dominating the headlines for months. The wife of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway (51) does not hide, but appears in public again and again – and puts a good face on the bad side. While things may look completely different inside her, she always presents herself professionally, smiles and continues to get involved in social projects. This also applies to her most recent appointment: Mette-Marit visits the Council for Mental Health on the occasion of World Mental Health Day in Oslo – and in doing so sends an important signal.

Marius Borg Høiby is said to have seriously injured his ex-girlfriend mentally and physically

A quick look back: Høiby was arrested for the first time at the beginning of August after an incident that occurred on the night of August 4th: The 27-year-old is said to have become aggressive in his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in Oslo. He is accused of bodily harm and damage to property. He was released from police custody the very next day. Ten days after the incident, the 27-year-old confirmed the allegations in a detailed statement published via “NRK” and publicly apologized: “Last weekend something happened that should never have happened,” Høiby said at the time.

His remorse didn’t seem to last long, as just a few weeks later (September 14), the 27-year-old was arrested again. This time, in addition to violating the ban on contact with his ex-girlfriend, whom he is said to have seriously injured mentally and physically at the beginning of August, he was also accused of negligent behavior and violating a police order.

Why this appointment is so important for Mette-Marit after allegations against Marius

The fact that Mette-Marit now decides to visit the Mental Health Council in Oslo on World Mental Health Day proves how important the psychological well-being of her fellow human beings and, above all, victims of psychological violence is to her. Since her son is said to have not only physically injured his ex-girlfriend, but also put him under psychological pressure, her visit there has even more weight for her and is particularly significant for the Norwegian Crown Princess.

For the appointment she chooses a simple dark blue suit and combines it with a lilac blouse and ballerina shoes. Even though Mette-Marit’s style is generally more classic, her latest outfit is very reserved. Whether she intentionally chose the look to draw attention away from herself (and the scandal surrounding her son) and to the important topic of the day is only a guess, but the fact is: her thoughtful smile only gives the slightest hint What it must look like inside her.
