WordPad – text editor for Windows 11 – download

Since 1995, WordPad has been a free text editor that came preinstalled on every Windows system. But with Windows 11 24H2, Microsoft has removed WordPad and will no longer maintain the veteran. With WordPad for Windows 11 you can continue to use the free text editor on your Windows computer.

For Microsoft, WordPad is history, but if you want to upgrade it, you can download the original files. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn’t offer it directly, but rather the Win7Games portal.
