Nittany Lions Announce Their 2024-25 College Wrestling Schedule | News, sports, jobs

STATE COLLEGE – The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, led by coach Cael Sanderson, announced its 2024-25 schedule. Penn State will play seven home matchups this season, including two at the Bryce Jordan Center.

The Nittany Lions will also once again host the NWCA All-Star Classic at Rec Hall. Please note that all dates and times are subject to change.

The season begins with a grand opening weekend at Rec Hall. The venerable building will once again be the site of the NWCA All-Star Classic exhibition. Penn State’s official NCAA schedule then begins the next day with a home matchup at Rec Hall when the Nittany Lions host Drexel on Sunday, November 17th at 1 p.m.

Penn State travels to West Point, NY next weekend for the Black Knight Invitational at Army West Point. The one-day event takes place on Sunday, November 24th and lasts all day. Penn State visits Lehigh on Sunday, Dec. 8, for a 2 p.m. matchup with the Mountain Hawks. Next weekend, Penn State hosts the Wyoming Cowboys for a dual meet at Rec Hall on Sunday, December 15th at 1 p.m.

Penn State completes its first semester schedule a week later and travels to Nashville, Tennessee for the Journeymen Collegiate Duals on Sunday, December 22nd. Penn State will play three dual meets that day, taking on Binghamton, Arkansas-Little Rock and Missouri.

The Big Ten season begins Friday, Jan. 10, when Penn State hosts Michigan State at Rec Hall. The Nittany Lions travel to Nebraska the following Friday, January 17th for a dual meet in Lincoln. Penn State heads east to visit Rutgers on Friday, Jan. 24 for its second straight road trip.

The Nittany Lions host Iowa on Friday, January 31, in the first of two BJC Duals during the 2024-25 season. A week later, Penn State hosts Michigan in the second BJC Dual of the year on Friday, February 7th. Penn State hosts Maryland two days later, on Sunday, February 9, at Rec Hall.

The Nittany Lions head into their final Big Ten weekend, visiting Ohio State on Friday, February 14th and Illinois on Sunday, February 16th. Penn State completes the dual meet portion of its schedule by hosting American University on Friday. February 21, 7 p.m. in Rec Hall.
