The WNBA’s top two teams – Liberty and Lynx – will take the court Thursday night in Game 1 of the 2024 WNBA Finals.

New York is seeking its first-ever WNBA championship. A trophy would cap a season in which the Liberty became the first team in league history to win more than 30 games in two consecutive years.

However, the Lynx were a thorn in the Liberty’s side all season long. Minnesota defeated New York in three of four regular season games, including a win in the Commissioner’s Cup championship game on June 25.
