Windows 11 27723 as a new insider in the Canary channel

After yesterday’s patch day, today it’s the turn of the insiders in the Canary channel again. Today it is 27723.1000, more precisely 10.0.27723.1000 rs_prerelease, compiled on October 4th, 2024. But there isn’t much to report this time.

Local data that you search for via the taskbar can now be shared immediately. This is currently an A/B test and will be rolled out gradually. But let’s see what else might be hidden in this new build. But maybe more about that tomorrow. Of course we will collect the ISOs again and then put the link here.

Known problems in Windows 11 27723

• [WICHTIGER HINWEIS FÜR COPILOT+ PCs] If you join the Canary channel on a new Copilot+ PC from the Development channel, Release Preview channel or Retail area, you will lose the Windows Hello PIN and biometric data to log in to your PC with the error message 0xd0000225 and the “Something went wrong and your PIN is not available” error message. You should be able to recreate your PIN by clicking “Set up my PIN.”
• [NEU] We are investigating reports that some games, including Microsoft Solitaire & Casual Games, are crashing on startup after installing 27718.
• [NEU] We are investigating reports that some Insiders are still experiencing rollbacks (with error code 0xc190010) when attempting to install the latest Canary builds.
• input We are working to correct an issue that causes the Emoji Panel and Clipboard History to no longer open in certain interfaces, including the Registry Editor.

Corrections and improvements in Windows 11 27723

• Voice control We’re making improvements to the spelling and proofing functionality of Voice Access. You can now use this feature throughout the entire voice access session. The Spelling feature now allows you to dictate the characters more quickly and provides more flexibility in manipulating the feature with dictation commands, namely selection, deletion and text navigation commands.
• Settings: The virtual hard disk (VHD/VHDx) detach button introduced in Build 27686 under Settings > System > Storage > Disks & Volumes is temporarily disabled starting with Build 27718. We are working to re-enable this change in a future build soon.
