“True Italian Pizza Week” starts – these restaurants are taking part

A pizza and an Aperol Spritz for 16 euros: This offer will attract over 40 selected Italian restaurants in Berlin from Thursday.

The “True Italian Pizza Week” started in Berlin on October 10th. Pizza fans can try special pizza creations in 42 Berlin restaurants until October 16th. Every pizza comes with either an Aperol Spritz or a non-alcoholic Crodino Spritz for a total of 16 euros.

Those interested do not have to register, but simply ask the participating restaurants about what the event offers. As part of “True Italian Pizza Week”, each restaurant offers two pizza creations, including a vegetarian version.

While some restaurants offer classic salami pizzas, others want to impress their guests with creative creations. The pizzeria “Lovebirds” in Berlin-Mitte, for example, offers its guests the “Ariccia” pizza. It’s topped with mozzarella, baked potatoes, pork and fried sage.

The Pizzeria “Terra” in Kreuzberg presents the creation “The Hot Black Buffalo” – a pizza made from black dough with yellow tomato sauce, topped with buffalo mozzarella, pepper and anchovies.

The “Gemello” restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg only offers vegan pizzas. During True Italian Pizza Week, guests can try, among other things, the Posh pizza, which is topped with pear, cranberry jam, rosemary and vegan sour cream. The restaurant “Come Va’ Va’” in Prenzlauer Berg will offer a special taste experience with as few ingredients as possible. The “L’Atteggiona” pizza is topped with pumpkin cream, mozzarella and Italian sausage with truffles.

The pizza week is organized by the company Berlin Italian Communication. In 2015, she launched the “True Italian” quality seal, which she awards to selected restaurants.
