“Dancing with the Stars” currently airs on Monday nights, but will move to Tuesdays starting next week. The Disney company has decided that ESPN’s football broadcasts, “Monday Night Football”like last year will also be broadcast on ABC. The games on October 14th and 21st as well as November 4th, 18th and 25th and December 23rd, 2024 will be broadcast at the same time.

Those responsible for the group tried this out last year because there were hardly any television programs available due to the strikes by actors and writers. In fact, the ratings were higher for the double broadcasts, which is why other shows were initially not put into the running. According to Variety, “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” and “Press Your Luck” will remain in the hangar.

The television network ABC is struggling with falling ratings as viewers migrate to streaming services such as its own Hulu and Disney +. The additional sports broadcasts create a situation that the makers of the breakfast show “Good Morning America” don’t like either. After all, TV formats are often repeated, but football highlights are not allowed to be broadcast.
