National coach Julian Nagelsmann is in demand as a line-up inventor this week – especially offensively. Of the top-class attack quartet with Jamal Musiala (hip joint problems), Kai Havertz (knee joint pain), Niclas Füllkrug (Achilles tendon irritation) and Florian Wirtz, only the latter is healthy.

The last duel against the Netherlands in the Nations League was not long ago: the party ended with a 2-2 draw on September 10th in Amsterdam. Joshua Kimmich and Deniz Undav scored the goals for the DFB team, which is currently at the top of the table in the group of four.

Oliver Baumann makes his DFB debut against the Netherlands

“It’s such a shame that this time we have to do without injured regulars who supported us at the home European Championships in the summer: We are now really looking forward to seeing our new players in the team and in training,” Said Nagelsmann about the involuntary personnel castling.

Hoffenheim captain Oliver Baumann will make his national team debut in goal. Stuttgart’s Alexander Nübel made his debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina. (ep)
